An interactive, educational and entertaining show designed to introduce children of all ages to the instruments of the symphony orchestra. The 45-minute presentation combined humor and information throughout its narrative to maintain the students' interest right to the thrilling conclusion: the children compose their very own piece of music, which is then performed by Lake Forest Symphony musicians in a world premiere performance!

Composer and educator, Jim Stephenson, has presented Compose Yourself to rave reviews in schools across the country.

Youth Concerts draw children from all over the North Shore, north and northwest suburbs and southeast Wisconsin.
